About this data
Figures come from OCHA's Financial Tracking Service, the UN system of record for humanitarian funding flows. Requirements are the plan's revised budget; funding is the total of contributions reported against the plan.
FTS records reported contributions: donors and agencies declare their own flows, so coverage moves in steps as reports arrive rather than in real time, and some funding (bilateral, private, or unreported) never appears. Actual disbursement on the ground can also lag reported commitments.
Humanitarian appeals are chronically underfunded worldwide; the coverage percentage is best read against that baseline rather than against 100%.
